Do you offer payment plans?
If your package includes antenatal and/or labour care then all fees are payable prior to 36 weeks gestation.
At booking a deposit of £2000 is due, with the rest of the payments paid monthly thereafter. The earlier you book, the more spread out payments are.
Postnatal care is paid up front.
Get in touch if you have questions about payment plans - we can work out a plan that feels sustainable to you.
I also offer payments through Stripe, which means it's possible to pay using credit cards.

I look forward to hearing from you!
Can you attend immediately after a freebirth?
If I book with you, can I also continue with my NHS care?
Yes, but this would be considered 'labour care' by insurance companies and therefore you would need to book a Birth Package to ensure that I can be on call and that the insurance premium would be included.
Absolutely! Booking an independent midwife does not affect your eligibility for NHS care, and you remain entitled to it. My care can replace the antenatal/postnatal midwife appointments, or I can be booked in addition to your usual care. Please bear in mind that if you are planning on delivering in hospital you will need to register with the NHS Trust that you plan to deliver with.. NHS Trusts usually 'require' you to have ultrasound scans and blood tests on their systems to deliver with them as part of the booking process, but you are not legally required to do so and they cannot deny you care. I can help support with this if you are struggling to navigate the system.
I'm happy to liaise with NHS Trusts on your behalf.
Do you do ultrasound scans?
I do not offer ultrasound scans. If you would like to have the 12 week (dating/combined screening) and 20 week (anatomy) scans you must register with your local NHS Trust or you can book in with MUMS Solihull (Midlands Ultrasound and Medical Services) who offer private, clinician led antenatal ultrasound scans and screening options. There are other commercial ultrasound companies available, but they are often not diagnostic nor clinician led and cannot screen your baby/babies for any anatomical or chromosomal differences.
Are you insured?
Yes. I have indemnity insurance provided by Midwife Indemnity Direct.
If you're not with the NHS, how do you keep up to date with your training?
I am registered with IMUK which provide support and ongoing training to keep my skills up to date. I organise informal skills and drills days with other independent midwives. I'm also registered as a Bank Midwife with a local NHS Trust and I attend their mandatory training, safeguarding training, skills and drills and other trainings.
